New look SE24 expands with

in-house crisis response experts

Formerly known as Security Exchange, a member of the Chelsea Group of Companies, SE24 has relaunched with a new look and brand. However, more importantly, it has strategically expanded its in-house service offerings by finding some of the best subject matter experts in the world, to meet the demands of today’s new normal in terms of crisis response.

Widening its core offering which began in 2006 as response services for the insurance industry, crisis management, security management, product recall as well as kidnap and ransom response, SE24 now boasts five new service lines under its own umbrella. The move, together with the collaborative efforts and geographical reach of the Chelsea Group, allows SE24 to become a formidable industry force as it takes a proactive approach to the diverse global crises present in the world today.

SE24 already had one of the most experienced and recognised management teams in the risk management industry. The new appointments and services have added variety and depth and have made the service offerings of SE24 even stronger.

Technology and Intelligence, headed by Shaun Filer

Shaun Filer is the Head of our new Technology and Intelligence team, providing intelligence support and mobile apps through our partnership with PACE First and Riskline. A look at typical SE24 operations

Beside over 20 crisis hotlines, manned by a team in South Africa, SE24 is the crisis response agency of choice for the whole Chelsea Group. Examples of SE24 support for group companies include supporting Assist360 with medical assistance cases which may require a security or crisis component. Other examples include SE24’s support to CTG during the current Israel/Gaza conflict and the support to Hart and other clients during the evacuation and breakdown in Afghanistan during the US military withdrawal in August 2021.

Assisting Hart in the Afghanistan evacuations or helping Assist360 respond to medical cases, SE24 remains integral to the Chelsea Group in addition to its wide range of clients

Recently, Chelsea Mozambique are the Group’s early adopters of the SE24 GUARDIAN app which has been developed in partnership with Australian based technology company, PACE FIRST. This is leading edge technology and intelligence which produces 600-800 global alerts per day. The SE24 Guardian app is perfect for everyone from corporate travellers, people working or travelling in complex or hostile environments, lone workers or travellers or more vulnerable groups. Featuring a Help button that can pick up a client’s location within three metres, the app also offers the optional capability to track a client. Amongst other features, the app logs locations for post incident reviews, sends alerts and has direct messaging, mass communication and geo-fencing functionality.

Beyond the requirements of the Chelsea Group, SE24 has an interesting list of clients and case studies and today, its service offerings are more diverse than ever. These include the likes of missionary organisations, active assailant responses, cybercrime, corporate fraud, the needs of high-net-worth individuals and much more.

Whether it is managing the response to a kidnap or a Cyber-attack, handling a product recall case involving contaminated foodstuffs, or dealing with animal activists threatening rural insured clients, every SE24 response has one important thing in common: knowing how to bring informed and calm decision making in a crisis.
