The reality of their day-to-day jobs involves providing on-the-ground support to humanitarian agencies in some of the most fragile and challenging places in the world. However, the CTG Global team also wanted to contribute to providing stability closer to home. And so CTG Giving was born.
A non-director-led fundraising initiative, with a focus on Africa, which supports donations to charities and organisations, CTG Giving’s first internal event took place recently with CTG staff from several of the international offices (including Nairobi and Mogadishu) getting involved.
‘It was great to get the different teams involved,’ says Lucy Holliday, a CTG Senior Account Manager who is based in Nairobi. ‘We all donated a skill that was then auctioned off. Prizes included private golf lessons, cooking classes, a riding lesson with the CEO, and a yoga session. It was a fun evening and I hope the start of lots of fundraising to come!’
The CTG Giving funds raised were donated to the Elman Peace and Human Rights Foundation in May 2018.
